#eAmbrosia is a legal register of the names of agricultural products and foodstuffs, wine, and spirit drinks that are registered and protected across the EU.
It provides direct access to information on all registered geographical indications, including the legal instruments of protection and product specifications. It also displays key dates and links for applications and publications before the geographical indications are registered.
From Cyprus’ mellow Halloumi cheese to Hungary’s spicy Kalocsai paprika, more than 3,500 geographical indications have been registered.
The labels ‘Protected Designation of Origin’, ‘Protected Geographical Indication’, and ‘Geographical Indication’ help people identify products whose quality and reputation relate to their geographical origin.
More than that, they ensure the brand and know-how are protected from imitation.
