Their discussions focused on the Domitienne as a living territory shaped by its coastal landscapes, vineyards, heritage, and seasonal rhythms.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Exploring the regenerative potential of the territory<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>These workshops opened the space for shared inquiry and imagination rather than the application of a predefined model. Participants were invited to observe the territory through a regenerative lens, uncovering what already makes the Domitienne vibrant and distinctive.<\/p>\n<p>Together, they identified several avenues for future reflection and collaboration:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Rediscovering the territory\u2019s deeper identity<\/strong>, and the relationships between its landscapes, craft traditions, and inhabitants.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Strengthening connections between the coastline and the hinterland<\/strong>, two complementary \u201clungs\u201d of the Domitienne that can mutually enhance the visitor experience.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Reflecting on seasonal balance<\/strong>, and how tourism activity can support \u2014 rather than disrupt \u2014 the year-round vitality of the place.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Throughout the discussions, regeneration emerged not as a set of techniques, but as a mindset: one that values relationships, nurtures what is already alive in the territory, and encourages cooperation across sectors and communities.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>A collaborative and participatory process<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The aim of this experimentation was not to design a new tourism strategy outright, but to create a shared space where local actors could explore, question, and envision together. This participatory approach allowed each stakeholder to bring their own perspective, stories, and aspirations \u2014 making room for insights rooted in lived experience.<\/p>\n<p>The workshops also helped highlight the richness of existing initiatives across the Domitienne. While many projects operate independently, participants noted the powerful potential that could emerge from connecting them within a shared narrative or vision.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>A European initiative for regenerative futures<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This work has been carried out within the framework of the\u00a0<strong>AGORA Regenerative Tourism<\/strong>\u00a0project, co-funded by the\u00a0<strong>Erasmus+ programme of the European Union<\/strong>. The project aims to support European destinations in experimenting with regenerative approaches, fostering new learning and collaborative practices that strengthen the relationship between people, place, and local ecosystems.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>About EURAKOM\u2019s role<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As a partner in AGORA,\u00a0<strong>EURAKOM<\/strong>\u00a0supports territories in exploring and implementing regenerative principles.
